A flexible, crowd-pleasing snack platter made with crisps, deli favourites, and plenty of French onion dip.
Ingredients
-
1 large bag plain salted crisps (we like Brets)
-
4 tsp French onion dip & seasoning mix (only available to Club Maniac currently)
-
4 tbsp soured cream
-
4 tbsp plain cream cheese
-
Cured meat (sauccison or jambon de bayonne)
-
Pickles or briny toppings (cornichons, olives, sundried tomatoes)
-
A soft, mild French cheese (Port Salut, mild Brie, or Reblochon)
-
Green herbs (chives, parsley or dill)
Directions
In a small bowl, mix the French onion seasoning with the soured cream and cream cheese until smooth. Cover and refrigerate for 10 minutes to firm up slightly. (If you aren’t a Club Maniac member, our All The Ranch seasoning also works well for this!)
Spread the crisps out over a large serving plate or platter. Plain or lightly salted crisps work best here, as the French onion dip is the main flavour.
Cut the cheese into small cubes and scatter across the crisps. Go lightly, the dip already brings plenty of richness and cheesiness.
Arrange the cured meats over the crisps in loose, scrunched-up piles, then add your pickles or other briny toppings.
Spoon or dollop the French onion dip over the platter. Serve any extra on the side for dipping.
Finely chop the herbs and scatter over the top before serving. Serve immediately and enjoy!
